OUR RUE DE SEINE REAL BRIDE

So, over to our gorgeous Rue de Seine real bride because, let’s face it, she’s already stolen the show…

“I trawled through about 20 dress shop appointments all over London and Scotland and finally found Rue De Seine on instagram, headed straight to Jean Jackson Couture in Urmston and Bec was such a genuine delight. I have never felt so special in an outfit and my Mum encouraged me to go for it and helped me pay for it. The ‘Cleo’ dress was a relaxed, two piece, luxurious silk slip, embroidered, fringed kimono totally matched how I wanted to feel on the day and I loved it.”

“We married in August at Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park, Lancaster. We wanted a relaxed affair and it was such a romantic ceremony, with Fleetwood Mac and She & Him for the soundtrack. Then to Lancaster Brewery where we had hog roast and cheesecake to our Grandparent’s dismay.”
“We love music and had a funk and soul band and Spotify playlist with tracks guests chose on their Paperless Post invites. The first dance was a Black Keys song and we were so awkward. We consumed lots of delicious craft beer for the cacti centre pieces and even the bottles for the flowers. I found Becky from Picking Posies on flowersfromthefarm.co.uk and was so impressed that she locally grew the flowers and it was her first wedding ever! I was so glad the bridesmaid dresses worked with the flowers – they are Stay Sunny Chicago, another Kiwi brand my bridesmaid found at Fashion Week.”

“There are so many beautiful pictures from the photographer Alfred & Co in Lancashire. Looking through all the photos, I feel so lucky to have such amazing family and friends. I am grateful for all the help with our wedding and feel relieved all the decisions paid off. Now I need to convince the husband to watch the wedding video with me!”

THE EDITORS SAY…

So, why do we have the total heart eyes for this Rue de Seine real bride? Errr, have you seen these photos? We mean, what’s not to love?

Firstly, she absolutely rocked her own style. This, above all things, makes us so very happy. There’s nothing quite like a bride who’s confident with her style and goes for something she loves. Your wedding day is not the day for what you think you ‘should’ wear. It’s the the day for embracing everything you are and totally going with it. You don’t have to conform, you don’t have to wear anything you don’t want to and, best of all, you are in control of the dress code.

We just can’t get enough of the fringing on that gown too and the embellishments are just melting our hearts. Love the shape of the dress too – it is flattering and downright perfect on our real bride. Those loose sleeves are another big hit for us too and the shaping on the hem of the skirt – yes yes YES!

Also, the whole look just works. The shoes, the braids, those stellar earrings and the bride’s fab makeup all work in harmony. Beyond that, the bridesmaids’ dresses couldn’t be better if they tried. Love the coloured embroidery and the overlayers that replicate our bride’s dress.

That’s a lesson in bridal styling right there.
