Shut. The. Front. Door. Today we’re bringing you the first collection from Ritual Unions, a young bridal label from Berlin. Now you know how much we love to support up-and-coming designer talent so we couldn’t be happier right now. We also know that when you see this super hot shoot, you’re going to be buzzing too…
Founded by designer Karin Brettmeister, Ritual Unions is influenced by couture and high fashion fused with a cheeky Berlin coolness. It’s an edgy juxtaposition and hints at what’s to come.
RITUAL UNIONS – THE COLLECTION
The debut collection is a fresh mix of urban and couture and gives a swift kick to the European wedding industry. Ritual Unions offers a unique concept of made-to-measure dresses from a slick online platform. Twenty-first Century bridal at is brave and brilliant best.
This new collection is inspired by the complexity of emotions and is neatly titled Oxytocin, the feel-good hormone released in our brains when we’re in love. Check out the three-dimensional, symmetrically placed lace appliqués for starters. Then there’s the almost-mystic feminine silhouettes set against the harsh geometrical cuts and bondage accessories. Oh la la.
We’re loving the hotel new take on the corset. This very light, discreet form is made from embroidered tulle with visible boning and works so well against the other playful, romantic elements. The vintage inspired elements, including glove-like sleeves, pin tucks and lace scallops complete the overall picture.
